Flowers by Post

Postal flowers are delivered via the Royal Mail 1st Class system.

Depending on the time the order is received, Postal orders may be posted on the next working day after the day that we receive the order.

The actual delivery date for items delivered by Royal Mail 1st Class Post cannot be guaranteed. For a guaranteed date service please view our Flowers by courier range.

Postal flowers may take up to three working days for orders to be delivered. Items delivered by First Class Royal Mail cannot be delivered on a Sunday or Bank Holiday. It is not possible to specify the time of delivery or track a postal order.

We realise that occasionally Royal Mail may try to deliver a postal order and the intended recipient may not be at the delivery address. If this situation occurs Royal Mail may attempt to leave the parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place at the premises. If the delivery is left in a safe place Clinton Cards shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise thereafter, howsoever caused. If no safe place is available (at the absolute discretion of Royal Mail) a card will be left with a contact number for the recipient to call. Royal Mail does not attempt a re-delivery. The recipient must contact Royal Mail to arrange re-delivery or collection. If the recipient is collecting from a Royal Mail Depot or Post Office Counter, they will need to take proof of identity with them. Clinton Cards accepts no responsibility for the deterioration in quality if parcels are not collected in a timely manner.

To ensure delivery please make sure that you supply the full address and correct postcode of the delivery destination. Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any delays or failure to deliver caused by being given incorrect or incomplete delivery details.

Delivery to Business addresses

Flowers sent to business addresses, including schools, hospitals, military and office addresses may be delivered to a main reception or mailing room prior to internal distribution. We do not accept any liability for non-delivery where the working hours of the business are outside the standard delivery schedules for our couriers.

Recipient not at delivery address

We are aware that the recipient of your gift may not know that the flowers are being sent. For this reason we have arranged with our courier to leave the flowers in a safe place (at the absolute discretion of the delivery driver) at the premises if there is nobody at home.

To help our courier, please include any additional information if you know of somewhere where the flowers can be safely left (for instance with a neighbour). Obviously we cannot accept any responsibility for deliveries left anywhere in accordance with your instructions.

If your delivery is left in a safe place we shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise thereafter, however caused. If no safe place is available (at the absolute discretion of the delivery driver) a card will be left with a contact number for the recipient to call. They can either agree a convenient time for delivery or arrange to collect the flowers themselves from the courier's depot. Each time an attempt is made, our courier will leave a card at the delivery address confirming that they have tried to deliver. After two failed delivery attempts your parcel will be returned. If your parcel is returned to us under these circumstances, no refund will be given.

If you are not sure that the recipient will be home and there is nowhere to leave them, why not as an alternative to home delivery, get flowers and gifts delivered to a work address instead?
